1. A Dialogue of Materials

   • Top Plate: Crafted from natural clay, hand-trimmed and polished by our artisans to achieve a warm, rustic texture. Its slightly porous structure helps regulate humidity, making it ideal for temporary food display.

   • Base & Pillar: Made from rustic acacia wood, each piece boasts a unique grain pattern and color, creating a beautiful contrast with the ceramic’s subtlety.

2. The Balance of Function and Aesthetics

   • Two-Tier 9/11-inch Design: The staggered heights create visual depth and functional separation. Place the main cake on the lower tier and accompanying cupcakes or desserts above for a professionally styled presentation.

   • Sturdy Structural Integrity: The angle of the pillars and diameter of the base have been tested repeatedly to ensure absolute stability and balance, even when fully loaded.

Step 1: Sincere Material Selection
We insist on using high-quality natural clay and naturally seasoned acacia wood. The clay ensures safety and a unique, organic feel, while the wood brings natural warmth and life to each piece.

Step 2: Hand-Trimming and Shaping
Even with initial molding, each clay top plate is hand-finished. Artisans rely on their fingertips to smooth away any rough edges, ensuring all curves are fluid and pleasant to touch.

Step 3: The Kiln’s Metamorphic Fire
This is the “magic” moment when earth becomes ceramic. Fired at over 1200°C for hours, the clay undergoes a complete transformation. This “kiln change” makes the ceramic incredibly dense, hard, and durable, giving the surface a smooth, jade-like quality.

Step 4: Woodworking and Assembly
Meanwhile, the wood is cut, sanded, and polished by hand. We avoid heavy chemical finishes, using natural plant-based oils and waxes to preserve the wood’s raw feel and enhance its natural grain. Finally, the wood and ceramic are joined using traditional or precision techniques to form a solid, elegant whole.
